Tuesday Nights at Christ Church
Support Group Ministry
Courage to Change
Courage to Change will assist you in moving away
from your addiction to a healthy, sober life. Whether you need to get sober,
stay sober, or live sober, Courage to Change will walk you through how to build
a life that includes a strong support system to deal with the difficulties of
life in a healthy way. Meeting every Tuesday.
Divorce Care
Divorce is devastating for everyone involved - even when it's
the best solution to a bad marriage. Divorce Care will help you move
through the initial shock to finding the freedom of your new life. Our leaders
are personally acquainted with divorce and understand the range of emotions you
may encounter when going through this time. Meetings begin April 22.
Healthy Habits
Healthy Habits will help you in moving away from your
unhealthy relationship with food to a healthy, balanced eating life. Whether you
need to lose weight, gain weight, or eat healthier, Healthy Habits will
walk you through how to build a life that includes a strong support system to
deal with the difficulties of poor eating, diet, and exercise choices. First
meeting TBA.
As part of this ministry, Christ United Methodist Church is
offering a light meal and child care. If you are interested in participating
with any of these opportunities, sign up sheets are available in the back of the
sanctuary.
Plan B
Plan B (Grief Recovery) group will meet on the 3rd Wednesday of
each month. We go to a different restaurant each month at 6:30 p.m. We talk, we
laugh, we enjoy good good and discuss whatever concerns us with others who
understand.
Preserve Your Heritage
Mom and Me time or just Me Time! Come and learn the basics of scrapbooking so
we can start a Scrapbooking Ministry. We have scheduled May 10 and
June 14 from 9:00 a.m. until 12 noon in Harris Hall. Bring pictures of family,
vacations, nature, or anything that you would like to save. Put a few thoughts
with the pictures, add some embellishments and presto, you will be scrapbooking!
We will also make a card or two each month. If you have your basic tools, please
bring them. If you are new to this hobby, tools will be available for your use.
We are hoping to go to Friendly Center in July and teach ladies and kids there
what we have learned. A sign up sheet will be in the back of the Sanctuary after
Easter.
